Mobile Photography / Second Time Around!

We did it again!  A team of keen learners with iPhone in hand, Zoom on their computers, and Olivia Joy St. Claire  at the helm, learned a lot of what they didn’t know about their iPhones.

From the basics of settings, and some pre-set options available to us, to focus and maintaining a focal point, light situations, exposures, and on to creating angles, composing within the camera lens, and telling a personal story, everyone came away feeling excited, eager to work with their new skills, and ready to share the results of the day.

We spent the last hour editing in Snapseed, an app which many of you may have used.  It’s perfect for those of us who love to take photographs, and want to spend some time making them a little better through wise editing.  Or one can just go crazy playing with all the options!

Here are a few results of the day.

photo by Mary Roy   Saturday’s workshop was amazing.  The challenge comes in trying to practice!  Here is my favorite photo from Saturday.

photo by Sandy Weisman My back yard.  The natural granite ‘walkway’ brings you up to a perfect place to look out over the ocean, light a fire, or just talk with a friend.  I used many of the day’s suggestions, ending with an editing tool that allowed me to blur the edges some.

Thanks again, to Olivia Joy St. Claire.  Her presentation is straightforward and clear, her examples are worth a thousand words, and her love of photography is evident all over.
