Be a Maker !!

What do you look for in a good workshop?  A new skill, something special, like a piece of jewelry?  Something you know nothing about but think it would be fun to learn?  To go off to some other place you’ve never been?  So many good reasons to challenge yourself.

The workshops planned here at 26 Split Rock Cove for the summer are intended for many of those reasons. Make books, write, paint, collage!  Sign up for the following workshops at www.26splitrockcove.com

Next Saturday from 11-3 we’ll gather to make Simple Books.  We’ve planned it to be at a small cost with a generous gift from a donor.  Make 5 or 6 books in 4 hours, including pamphlet style books, accordion books, and Japanese stab bindings.  And it only costs $50 for materials (for South Thomaston residents, it’s completely free!)   Sandy Weisman will be the instructor.

On Saturday, July 3, we welcome Ingrid Ellison back to 26 Split Rock Cove, with Renewing the Muse, a workshop using paint, collage, and exercises to help you find some new directions in your work.    The class runs from 10 am to 4 pm, with a break for lunch.  We have several spots in that workshop.  Price $150.
Whether you’re a painter, a book artist, a writer and illustrator, Ingrid will challenge you to think again!

I’ll be back with two more workshops to share with everyone next week!  Stay tuned.  And go to www.26splitrockcove.com to sign up.
