At long last, I’ve returned to blogging!! I realized that all of you coming to my website have been watching, waiting. In the meantime, I’ve been in my studio working, or writing poems, or organizing exhibits and programs. So here are two ideas I’d like to share with you this January 2019.
New Opportunities at 26 Split Rock Cove
SPRING WRITING RETREATS!
1-2 week stays at 26 Split Rock Cove, beginning April 1. No joke!
This year finds my artist apartment/retreat space open through May. So I have decided to make this opportunity available at greatly reduce rates to writers and poets who seek quietude and appreciate the beauty of the Maine coast in spring. From April 1 through May 31, 2901, the Artists Retreat Space (www.26splitrockcove.com) will be available for either 1 or 2 weeks, upon your request. The space has an ample eat-in kitchen, living room, queen-sized bedroom, bath, and laundry area. There are several great places to set up for your writing needs. All utilities are provided as well as TV, sound system, internet and wi-fi, all priced for this once-only off-off-season rate of $150 for one week, $250 for two.
HOW TO APPLY: Please write a short letter of intention. What is the project for your stay here? What do you hope to accomplish in your time? Send a brief bio or resume, and the dates you would like to come. I will let all applicants know by March 15. Once accepted you will asked to send a check or use PayPal to complete the transaction.
POTTERS WANTED!
Beginning in summer 2019, the ceramic studio will be available for more potters! As of this post, the studio is rented for June and July. I am looking for potters who would like to work in the studio for either short-term or longer-term rentals. Or to share with another potter. Those distinctions are open and up to those who would like to work here. There is one wheel available, a kiln, a work table, and a drying rack.
